Toronto Real Estate Board President Tim Syrianos, in his first release as TREB President, announced TREB residential MLS® sales, listings and price statistics for June, a mid-year forecast update and related Ipsos consumer survey results summarizing home buying and selling intentions.

Today, the Toronto Real Estate Board will host the second of two Regional Economic Summits in York Region (Durham Region hosted on July 15) to discuss a market update as well as a TREB-commissioned consumer survey conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs. This update comes on the heels of the Ontario Fair Housing Plan announcement and the change in market conditions relative to the first quarter.

Toronto Real Estate Board President Larry Cerqua announced that Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® reported 10,196 sales through TREB’s MLS® System in May 2017 – down by 20.3 per cent compared to 12,790 sales reported in May 2016. Sales of detached homes were down by 26.3 per cent. Sales of condominium apartments were down by 6.4 per cent.

Toronto Real Estate Board President Larry Cerqua announced that Greater Toronto Area REALTORS®, including TREB Commercial Network Members, reported 377,352 square feet of combined industrial, commercial/retail and office space leased through TREB’s MLS® System on a per square foot net basis with pricing disclosed. Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® reported 8,223 condominium apartment sales reported through TREB’s MLS® System between April and the end of June. This result was down by eight per cent compared to 8,942 sales reported in Q2 2016.
